Inter-Island Solar Supply is one of the oldest and most experienced renewable energy equipment
distributors in the world. Incorporated in Oahu, Hawaii in 1975, Inter-Island operated continuously
under the same ownership until September 2014. The founder, Cully Judd, and President, Richard Reed,
led the company through an ESOP transaction which transitioned the company to being 100% employee
owned as of September 20, 2014.
Our guiding mission is to provide clean energy solutions to eliminate Hawaii’s dangerous and expensive
dependence on polluting fossil fuels used to generate electricity.
Inter-Island has four convenient branch locations in the Hawaiian Islands located in Oahu, Kahului,
Lihue and Kailua-Kona. From those locations we serve over 650 wholesale customers. Our dedicated
sales and technical support team has over 300 years of aggregate solar industry experience. For the last
four decades, Hawaii’s leading design professionals, licensed contractors, and builders have relied on
Inter-Island Solar Supply’s for top-tier clean energy equipment, applications support and our huge
$10M+ stocking inventory.

HISTORY
Founded in 1973 in Oahu, Hawaii and incorporated in 1975, The Solaray Corporation (our parent
company) is one of the oldest renewable energy companies in continuous operation in the world. The
Solaray Corporation consists of Inter-Island Solar Supply, Pacific Liquid and Air Systems, and the
SunEarth Corporation, our solar collector manufacturer.

energy. From our humble beginnings in 1973 helping build small scale off grid solar systems to the
present day 100+ kilowatt commercial PV projects we have been the go-to distributer for solar products.
